'33 x Around the Sun' and 'Sea Change',  9 - 15 December 2005 at ICA, London

Two LAFVA awarded films will be shown together at the ICA this December. The independent and ambitious debut feature '33 x Around The Sun' by John Hardwick (LAFVA 2005) will be accompanied by Joe King and Rosie Pedlow's short film 'Sea Change' (LAFVA 2005), which features on the free Film London DVD that comes with the current issue of Vertigo. The films will be shown every night from 9 - 15 December 2005.
'33 x Around The Sun' unravels its mythic story in the nocturnal streets of an anonymous city (shot in and around east London). The film is an inspired re-reading of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, following H (played by Lars Rudolph) on his protracted journey home.
Accompanying this film, and fresh from its premiere at the recent London Film Festival, is Joe King and Rosie Pedlow's 'Sea Change'. Filmed in a caravan park at the end of the season, the film reveals a landscape dramatically transformed by light and time, and resonating with the transience of human presence.
